Here's what I think...

My Philosophy

Standardized Tests

I think standardized tests are unfair because they don't test you on what you know and they try to trick you. What grades you get in regular classes are more important than how you do on some stupid test that you take on one day that you might not be feeling good.

The Beginnings of the End?

On Tuesday 11th September, at nine o'clock local time, the twin towers of the World Trade Centre were attacked by terrorists who crashed two airliners into them.A third plane struck The Pentagon and a fourth was brought down in Pittsburg. Not long after the attack the North and South towers collapsed, burying thousands in the rubble.
Grief struck the nation, as President George W. Bush announcedthat this was an act of war on the American people and would not be tolerated by the United States government.
America has a lot of firepower and allies, could this be the start of World War three?
It will start with an air strike or some other form of attack on the Middle East to either capture or kill America's most wanted, Osama Bin Laden. All it takes is a few misguided shells and more innocent people would die, creating even more terrorists such as Bin Laden. This will spark a counter strike from a Islamabad, more will die and the America will then have more reason to attack the Middle Eastern countries. America have nuclear weapons, and the allies with UK.
Nostradamus the prophet of the sixteenth century was made this Prophecy:-
"The end of the world shall come in a new century, the twin towers will fall and a nuclear world will prevail."
Now I'm not debating the truthfulness in Nostradamus's predictions, or if they lost anything in translation, but look at it closely.
"The end of the world..."
Does this mean the destruction of the planet, the universe? Armageddon as in Revelation? If this is so we can look at it.
In Revelation in the Bible the four horsemen of the Apocalypse we signify the end our war, famine, pestilence, and Hades or death (red, black, white and pale). We have famine, which has led to disease/pestilence, next will be war then death to all.
But Nostradamus might have meant that it will be the end of the world as we know it, changing from our "material world" to a harsher, more poverty-stricken environment, both of these can be brought on by a World War and a few wrong decisions.
"...shall come in a new century..."
It is indeed a new century, but this could mean another century maybe even thirtieth! But there is still the possibility that it will be ours.
"...the twin towers will fall..."
This I think is one of the most significant parts of prediction, although this could mean any twin towers, in any period of time, but the north and south towers of the World Trade Centre were indeed "twin towers" and they did fall on that tragic day.
The last part of the projection is:
"...and a nuclear world will prevail."
The USA has nuclear power as does Russia, Britain, most of Europe and many of the richer countries in the Middle East, (e.g. Pakistan). Scientists have predicted that all these nuclear missiles are enough to destroy the world some twelve times over. If a war does get out of hand, they could be complete elimination of live, the destruction of the planet or nuclear winter was survivors living on the ground the riots and looting in the end of humanity as we know it.
All of these are possible, Leicester's hope for the sake of our world that Nostradamus got this one wrong, and that a Government's will take the right paths for retaliation.
